Another One

“Very important, major key, cloth talk” If this sounds familiar to you, then I’m sure you already know where this is going.

Khaled Mohamed Khaled, famously known as DJ Khaled is a record producer behind many popular hip hop singles, such as, “I’m So Hood”, “All I Do Is Win” and “No New Friends” just to name a few.

But today he is probably best known for the various “keys to success” which he details on his snapchat story. His snapchat musings have become so popular in fact, that someone made a website that recites his quotes and Belize just named an island Major Caye, pronounced as one of his most famous phrases “major key”.

I was once a follower of his, but his stories were just insanely too long for me to go through every day. But that doesn’t mean I didn’t take away some very important lessons on my short lived ride with him on the journey to success.

The importance of taking care of your body

For DJ Khaled, health is very important. First thing in the morning on his story you’ll usually find him recording himself in his bathroom mirror while lathering himself with cocoa butter and brushing his teeth after watching him wash his face in the shower.

The music mogul regularly shows us his meals as prepared by Chef Dee which not only look delicious, but are pretty nutritional. He inspires us while he exercises with his “treadmill talks” letting us know that exercise is a major key among other things.

And let’s not forget one of his greatest keys to success: water. He hardly ever goes a day without telling us how important it is for us to drink water.

“They don’t want you to be healthy.”

The value of hard work

While a lot of what he says comes off as hilarious, more often than not, you get some motivational gems. If you’re looking to get a sign to not give up, then DJ Khaled’s snapchat story is the place to go to.

He proves that hard work can pay off, I mean he makes it pretty obvious when showing us the luxurious fruits of his labor, while still reminding us that none of it came easy.

“You do know it costs money to put a t-shirt on your back? You do know it costs money to have a house? You do know it costs money to eat? Get money, don’t let these people fool you.”

DJ Khaled tells us that opposed to how it may seem, it’s not easy to get what you want or need for that matter.

“It’s not an easy road, but give thanks to the road.”

Enjoy life

Time and time again, Khaled has always reminded us that “The key is to enjoy life, because they don’t want you to enjoy life.”

If anything, DJ Khaled knows how to have a good time. From rides on his jet ski to nights out with a few bottles of Ciroc Apple Vodka in hand, there is no doubt that while DJ Khaled is out here working hard, he also knows how to take some time to well, enjoy life.

“Enjoy life man. Live it up”

While the initial hype over his snapchat fame has calmed down, DJ Khaled will remain a living meme and while hilarious, he has proved to be very inspirational.

“I know that I’ve been put on this Earth to make people happy, to inspire people and to uplift people. That’s a beautiful thing.”
